Head of Employment – FTSE – Amazing role and team!

We are seeking a Head of Employment on behalf of our client, a FTSE business in Hertfordshire/ Bedfordshire. The role will report into the company’s Deputy General Counsel. The role forms an integral part of the legal leadership team and is a key stakeholder to the People Team and other business stakeholders. As Head of, you will lead a team of employment legal experts including outside counsel.

You will lead and empower our employment legal team in providing strategic, commercially focussed and top-quality advice and guidance on employment and labour law matters across the business. As a leader, this role leads by example and works with other senior members of our team to provide general support across the legal team and the wider function. You will also provide commercially focused, consistent and practical employment law advice to a wide range of stakeholders including at management and PLC board level.

The successful candidate will have 10 years PQE with tangible experience of leading an international team and preferably including time spent both with a leading law firm and in-house that includes demonstrable excellent technical legal skills across employment law, litigation and industrial relations law.
