EMEA Privacy Counsel - Consumer Platform - (Fortune 100) - London OR Multiple EU Cities

A leading IT Consumer Platform business requires an experienced Privacy Lawyer to join their Global Privacy Team which oversees their entire business operations. You can work from the London office or Multiple EU offices and flexibility is an option that goes without saying.

The Role
You will provide strategic privacy advice to the Global Privacy Counsel and senior management on privacy and data protection issues that evitably arise within the Tech sector. You will advise senior management and stakeholders on privacy/data protection developments and processes whilst identifying possible risks to prevent a commercial impact or data breach. You will act as part of a global team comprising of privacy/data protection professionals who will offer their support on privacy and GDPR compliance globally, with a focus on drafting policy & governance agreements and advising on new products/operations with privacy-related implications. The GC and Senior management will provide you with sole EMEA privacy projects where your DP/GDPR & Privacy law experience will oversee and update on GDPR changes to ensure that internal clients are kept abreast of relevant developments which may impact the business.

The Candidate
Candidates must be an EU-qualified lawyer with thorough evidence of privacy law training and experience gained from a leading international Law Firm. Ideally, you will be currently working in-house for a leading technology business have a natural interest in internet services and applications and enthusiasm for technical innovation. Candidates must have a good understanding of new technologies and their relationship with privacy whilst be capable of handling complex legal issues. Applications from Privacy Lawyers with CIPP/E or other relevant GDPR certifications is advantageous. The ideal candidate will have great team-building and people skills who can effectively and efficiently collaborate and build relationships with lawyers and business clients at all levels throughout the organization.
