Legal Counsel, Pensions

An experienced pensions lawyer at the junior to mid level is required to join the small in-house legal team at this highly reputable company with strong social purpose. With an extremely successful flagship product, this organisation continues to be more innovative than it’s competitors in this mature market and is continuing to develop new products. This role mostly involves supporting the 2 defined benefit pensions schemes as well as a large master trust pension. You will be interacting with the marketing and product teams as well as sitting on steering committees in a technical support role. You will be expected to also perform a broader general in-house legal role as a member of the collegiate team.

For this position we are looking for someone with at least a couple of years pensions experience from a reputable law firm or from in-house. You could be an insurance lawyer with some pensions experience or a commercial contracts lawyer who has worked in regulated life business. We are looking for someone who is able to be flexible and can turn their hand to other things when necessary.
