Thanks to some pending senior equity partner retirements, this global law firm – a worldwide leader in energy/ infrastructure – faces a moderately pressing succession issue, which it intends to address by hiring a mid-level (and likely) a junior, lateral partner.
The law firm enjoys enviable long-standing top-tier legal directory rankings in oil & gas, power, related infrastructure and, increasingly, renewables. As an absolute minimum the firm needs to maintain client continuity but, ideally, it wants to grow its offering with a driven and connected corporate energy specialist, who has a M&A/ JV slant, or a commercial/ regulatory bent. Although not at all a pre-requisite, a smattering of French language could be helpful with some of the succession clients.
