Company Overview:

 

Fyte Legal are presently representing a purchasing, procurement, and business services organization operating within the food and beverages space. This business handle the purchasing and supply of specified and approved food, packaging, equipment and business solutions for a major, globally operating restaurant franchise.

 

Role Summary:

 

Reporting to the General Counsel, you will be a visible and important member of a busy and friendly legal team in delivering a wide range of legal services and support across the business as well as providing support to the existing members of the legal team.

 

Accountabilities:

 

  • Lead in managing, administering and advising the business on the contract management process.
  • Lead in managing, updating and reporting on various trackers and databases
  • Coordinating onboarding of new suppliers
  • Coordinating and managing corporate governance compliance requirements including responsible for making all company secretarial statutory returns and assisting with Board elections
  • Responsible for managing the GDPR process, including working closely with our external Data Protection Officer and internal teams to ensure GDPR compliance and dealing with and managing  data subject access requests and deletion requests
  • Providing sound and tailored legal advice to all functions
  • Assisting the General Counsel to create and deliver legal training to internal stakeholders
  • Assisting the General Counsel to successfully deliver new legal processes and policies
  • Providing support and assistance to the General Counsel.
  • Supporting the rapidly growing business across the UK and Europe by working with the Legal team and external lawyers to provide accurate, commercially relevant and timely legal advice and support.
  • Reviewing, drafting and amending legal documents including contracts, terms and conditions, within own area of case load with support from General Counsel
  • Responsible for managing, administering an advising on the contract management process, to include managing the contracts tracker; providing regular reports to business teams; regular 121 with business teams to discuss the contract tracker; guardian of governance surrounding contract management process including adherence to delegation of authority and filing of contracts etc.

 

 

Qualifications, skills and knowledge:

 

  • Proven experience working within an in-house legal team and managing their own caseload
  • Proven experience with GDPR and general commercial law knowledge and experience
  • Experience reviewing, negotiating and amending legal documents
  • Ability to work at pace and manage competing demands
  • Ability to prioritise work load effectively
  • Contract administration experience
  • Law degree
  • Business acumen
  • Strong computer and Excel skills
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong stakeholder management skills
  • Excellent organisational skills
  • Excellent attention to detail
