Competition Associate: There is a real emphasis on worklife balance reflected by the annual billable target. The role will include cooperating on a daily basis with the international offices and will include travel. There is a 5 year plan to increase partner headcount organically. As such, there will be opportunities to progress for a mid-senior level associate in an internationally-focused team.

The Role


This firm are looking for a Competition Associate to join them in their City of London office.


You will work within the Competition team that sits within the overall Corporate department working in one of the largest international Competition groups. The ideal candidate will be experienced within a broad spectrum of Competition Law including in particular, UK and EU merger control, behavioural work in the UK and EU, cartels, market investigations, abuse of dominance, wide range of regulatory, trade work, foreign direct investment, state aid. Experience of state aid and public procurement would be of interest, but not essential.


You will be exposed to a great deal of high-quality matters, working within one of the leading competition teams in Europe. You will be part of a growing practice allowing you to progress and develop. This position comes with a great deal of responsibility.


The Requirements

  • You will be a Competition Solicitor with at least 3 years PQE (There is no upper limit for the level of PQE and more senior candidates will be taken into account for a senior position)
  • You will be currently working within an a City or International practice.
  • Excellent communication skills and a clear interest within Competition law.
  • Exposure to UK and EU competition matters.
  • You will receive an competitive salary and along with an excellent remuneration package.
