Directories-listed Regulatory department in Birmingham is looking to recruit two Regulatory (Health & Safety & Environmental) Solicitor or Barristers – one of NQ to 1 years and the other of 2 or more years’ PQE/ Call. The team undertakes all aspects of corporate defence work and advise clients from a wide range of sectors. They advise organisations and individuals following fatal or serious incidents and they have been involved with many high-profile cases. They represent large global and UK organisations across a number of sectors including industrial, energy, transport, utilities, education, local government, food and retail. With a great mix of work available, you can expect to be involved in corporate manslaughter investigations, large pollution incidents and a wide range of regulatory investigations alongside corporate transactional support. Handling contentious cases in health and safety and environment work, you will also be exposed to areas such as food, trading standards, traffic and maritime law. The role spans both working from the Birmingham office and visiting commercial sites to investigate cases. You will be encouraged to get involved in marketing activities and take an innovative approach to both your work and how to develop your practice. If you are already a qualified Solicitor or Barrister you will have at least some experience of Regulatory (Health & Safety and Environment) matters. If you are newly qualified, you will ideally have undertaken a seat in Regulatory law.
