Regulatory (Health Safety & Environment) Solicitor/Barrister 1+ years’ PQE/Call BRISTOL

Commercial law firm in Bristol is seeking to recruit a Regulatory (Health Safety & Environment) Solicitor/Barrister of 1 or more years’ PQE/Call. The work will include managing a range of contentious and non-contentious regulatory issues for a variety of clients and includes advising public sector and corporate clients (and their insurers) in relation to investigations and prosecutions by a wide range of regulators including the Police, Health and Safety Executive, Environment Agency, Environmental Health and Trading Standards. They deal with all aspects of advice and defence and are currently instructed in a number of corporate manslaughter cases and investigations. Qualified Solicitors and Barristers will have some experience of Regulatory work – ideally, this will include advising on any of the following: health and safety incident investigations; interviews under caution; prosecutions; environmental breaches; breaches of trading standards; food law and/or fire safety. Inquest experience is beneficial. If you are a newly-qualified solicitor you will ideally have undertaken a seat in Regulatory law during your training and if you are a newly-qualified Barrister, you will ideally have encountered one or two Regulatory matters during your pupillage.
