Construction Lawyer - Legal Director or Partner

A senior construction lawyer is offered an excellent opportunity to join a top 25 UK practice as a legal director or partner in Birmingham.

The construction team at this leading national practice operates across the firm’s 15 UK offices on projects across the UK, Europe and Middle East.

The construction lawyer joining this highly renowned practice will be instrumental in continuing to grow and lead the construction team in Birmingham, working alongside the rest of the national construction team for clients across a range of sectors, including:
 

• Leisure and Retail
• Urban Regeneration
• Technology and Manufacturing
• Infrastructure
• Education
• Healthcare
• Education
• Civil Engineering
• Real Estate
• Energy

This role will involve high-value, complex, and challenging construction work, both contentious and non-contentious, which will include:
 

• Procurement Contracts
• NEC and JCT
• Finance and Security Documents
• PFI and PPP
• Tendering
• Professional Negligence
• Development Agreements
• Defective Work Claims
• Professional Appointments
• Adjudication
• Bonds and Guarantees
• Claims for Extensions and Variations
• Collateral Warranties

This position is ideally suited to senior construction lawyers. You may be a senior or principal associate seeking a step up, or otherwise a legal director or partner seeking a new challenge. Candidates applying for this position should be able to display:
 

• At least seven years’ PQE
• Excellent technical knowledge and commercial acumen
• Experience in the supervision and training of more junior colleagues
• Excellent communication skills
• Experience in business development and client relationship management
