Job Details
This major insurance intermediary seeks a first-time appointment of a lawyer in its Glasgow office, where its primary infrastructure departments including finance, tax and procurement are based. Working across a broad swathe of commercial contracts, you will gain experience in everything from service level agreements to IT and business process outsourcing to insurance specific contracts such as broker terms and delegated underwriting authorities. No prior insurance experience is required for the role, though clearly it would be useful. The role would be suitable for a lawyer of 4-7 years’ PQE seeking a multi-discipline environment, autonomy and control of hours worked and a broad based commercial role.
Interacting locally with other departments and with brokers, you will also work closely with other lawyers and will report to the Head of Commercial Contracts Legal in London.
