Regional Counsel, Europe

A leading US semiconductor/nanoelectronics company trading on the NASDAQ has engaged Major, Lindsey & Africa on an exclusive basis to conduct a search for a Regional Counsel, Europe.

Overview: This exciting opportunity offers the chance to play a key and highly visible role in a dynamic, innovative and growing business. The position is a newly created role and it will be the first dedicated in-house counsel in Europe for the company. The Regional Counsel, Europe will manage a wide variety of legal, regulatory, labour, and compliance matters for the company’s operations. A key focus of the position will be on day-to-day commercial technology transactions, including standard purchase and sale agreements, NDAs, IP development and technology transfer agreements, statements of work, and the like. The Regional Counsel, Europe will also need to identify and provide end-to-end advice on issues that arise in other substantive areas of law such as labour and employment, corporate, intellectual property, competition and antitrust, privacy, anti-bribery and corruption, and trade compliance.

Compensation: Competitive base salary and benefits commensurate with experience.

Location: Germany (Dresden), UK (Newport) or Belgium (Leuven) – relocation will be supported.

Experience: Minimum 10 years of combined experience in-house and with a law firm, ideally with experience in the semiconductor industry. Fluent English and German language skills are a requirement for the position. Additional French and/or Dutch language skills will be regarded as an asset to this position.
