Cahdwick Nott have just received instruction on from our client, one of Cardiff's leading heavyweight law firms, who have just confirmed this new opening for an ambitious junior Private Client candidate to take an important role in their leading Trusts and Estate Administration team.
Candidates will ideally already have some existing, relevant Private Client experience but strong NQ level candidates can be considered if they have enjoyed and benefited from a strong Private Client seat for example or Paralegal/case-handling work.
In this role, the successful candidate will be working across a wide range of good quality Private Client work, often acting on instructions from large High St banks and household name building societies, at all times providing specialist advice on work including probate, trusts and estate administration, lasting powers of attorney, deeds of variation etc. The successful candidate will also have the opportunity to further develop their supervisory skills, as they will be working closely with Paralegals within the team, helping them manage their work, on top of your own caseload of non-contentious Probate work including the administration of both taxable and non-taxable estates. Day to day you will develop your skills and expertise drafting and reviewing deeds of variation, working on trust deeds, statutory declarations etc.
This is an opportunity to join a large and very successful, well-organised team so the opportunities to learn and progress are fantastic, including the internal training and supervision that is on offer. A STEP qualification is an extra advantage but it certainly isn't essential at this stage. The firm is among the market leaders in South Wales for salaries and even at NQ, can offer an enviable starting salary.
