COMMERCIAL/IP Lawyer, 2 YEARS+ PQE

A technology organisation is looking for a Commercial/IP lawyer to join them as Legal Counsel to provide expert advice to their group of companies.

THE ROLE

As Legal Counsel, you will provide a first-class legal service across the business covering a broad range of IP matters alongside the Legal and IP business function. You will have responsibility for:

• Drafting, reviewing and negotiating licenses and other agreements relating to technology transfer and exploitation
• Developing and maintaining excellent relationships with internal clients and external customers and licensees of the business
• Promoting the value of the Legal and IP function and IP creation and protection
• Advising on new and forthcoming legislation and regulations relevant to IP law
• Identifying legal training needs for the business and opportunity for process improvement
• Supporting the business by providing legal advice and services as required in support of the business meeting sales and delivery targets

THE SUCCESSFUL APPLICANT

In order to excel in this role, the ideal applicant will be a qualified lawyer with in-house or legal practice experience in contract, IP or commercial law with the following attributes:

• 1-4 years PQE
• Working understanding of technology transfer concepts, tools and principles
• Demonstrable experience in drafting and negotiating IP licenses
• Experience in regulated industries
