In-House Construction Paralegal (Global Developer) - 12 Month Contract - London
An amazing opportunity for an In-House Construction Paralegal to join the legal team of a Leading London Development to advise on Construction general commercial matters with a primary focus on supporting the Head of Legal and his team of construction lawyers. This position is currently a 12-month contract paralegal role which is likely to go permanent.
You will focus on preparing draft documents and letters, reviewing, analysing, and organising legal documents for various corporate, construction and financial transactions. You will work closely with internal personnel and external lawyers on a wide variety of due diligence and ensuring contracts are executed and completed correctly and in a timely manner. Part of this role requires you to providing technical training where necessary to the Legal Team PA and organising/managing internal and external online data rooms of key project documents. As the sole paralegal in the construction team, you will complete construction contracts, producing soft copies (in-house and outsourced), updating and maintaining legal contracts schedule. You will review, negotiate and agree on internal and external NDAs, recording, updating and maintaining NDA tracker. There is a general commercial focus that will expose you to contracts and allow you to provide legal advice and assistance to the wider business.
Candidates must have Construction Paralegal experience gained from a leading city firm and an LLB, GDL and/or equivalent degree in the UK. Must have excellent organisation skills with the ability to prioritise many different workstreams. Ideally, you will have relevant real estate/construction sector experience, including transactional experience. You must have a strong track record of being capable to work independently with limited supervision and working with members at all levels of the organisation. Applicants with previous In House experience or secondment gained in drafting and negotiating general commercial agreements would be highly advantageous.
