Our national and international law firm client has put the growth of the corporate department at the centre of its strategy for London. The firm is interested in talking to existing partners or talented Legal Directors across a range of corporate disciplines including ECM, M&A and Private Equity. At the more junior level, the potential of your practice is more important than its current size.

Despite the turmoil of 2020, this firm has maintained healthy levels of revenue and can boast strong retention. It now seeks to build from this position of strength as it continues to grow its UK and European presence in mid-market corporate transactions.

The London team, which numbers around 6 core corporate partners, benefits from the firm’s existing broad range of clients and has always had a strong focus on new business development with all partners assisting with originations. Due to the healthy pipeline of deals the London head of corporate is happy to talk to both established partners with a ‘book’, but also those at LD or junior partner level where the following may be smaller provided that the client network shows potential for long term growth from this platform.

This has always been a firm that allows individuals plenty of time to bed in and transition their network and is alive to the importance of onboarding new partners to ensure their internal networks are strong. Great emphasis is placed on deepening relationships with existing client and ensuring that maximum value is generated from cross referrals across the network.
