Job Details
General Counsel - Commercial Contracts Lawyer (14-month contract) required to join four people strong legal team within a UK Insurance intermediary that has grown rapidly and now employs thousands of staff who control over £850 million of insurance premiums.
The Company:
This is one of the largest independent insurance intermediaries in the UK.
They look after personal and commercial clients across the spectrum of their industry and sector. They also look after their clients specialist insurance and risk management needs.
Since its launch, the company has recruited a talented and experienced leadership team that shares an entrepreneurial mindset and brings years and years of expertise to drive the business forward.
The Role:
The company requires a Commercial Contracts Lawyer to join to cover Maternity leave between June 2021 and September 2022.
The role could then become a permanent fixture, but this is not guaranteed.
The work will involve an array of contracts; General contracts such as service agreements/SAAS, License agreements, NDA's, Binders, etc.
(Some specific to the insurance industry, so it would be useful to have experience in Insurance, HOWEVER, if you don't have that, the company is very happy to train on these nuances.
They need someone who can handle contracts relatively autonomously with minimal supervision - should you need training on the insurance-specific contracts, then that is not a problem.
Salary: £60,000 (Negotiable, the company may consider up to £70,000 for the right candidate)
Start date: June 2021
