A highly successful independent TV production company is currently seeking a media lawyer with scripted TV development and production experience to join the business on an FTC initially.

There is every opportunity for this role to extend/turn permanent but we are equally open to hearing from candidates who are only interested in flexible working.

THE ROLE

You will work across the legal and business affairs operations of the business to provide a first class legal and BA service to internal stakeholders and productions.

You will be part of a collaborative LBA team and will assume responsibility for:

*Negotiating and securing successful deals across all production areas in line with creative and commercial objectives

*Advising on and negotiating talent deals and clearances

*Advising on potential development issues such as rights and copyright issues

*Supporting on the negotiation of broadcaster production finance deals and any cofinancing arrangements

*Negotiating distribution arrangements

*Advising on music licenses

*Liaising with the wider group legal and finance teams where necessary

You will have substantial legal & business affairs experience in media and TV production, either from inhouse or private practice.

Proven experience in any or all of TV guild agreements and SVOD platforms film or television financing and IP law (particularly copyright and trademarks) will be needed.
