Media / Defamation Solicitor

THE FIRM

A long-established central London based commercial law firm.

THE ROLE

A disputes lawyer is now sought to join the highly regarded media litigation team.

This role will appeal to a solicitor who has litigation experience and a demonstrable interest in media looking to further their career within this increasingly busy area of the law.

The work will include dealing with phone hacking litigation as well as high profile cases which regularly reach the High Court.

The caseload will include inter alia, defamation, privacy, breach of confidence and data protection, harassment, reputation management and pre-publication reading.

ABOUT YOU

With 3-5pqe, you will have a strong interest in media law and a track record within litigation.

Candidates without media litigation experience looking to move into this specialist area will be considered.

A team player, you will be looking to progress in a growing team with a burgeoning media disputes workload.

Expected to liaise closely and develop relationships with both clients and leading barristers in this specialist field, you will be interested in business development and be given credit for your efforts.

This is a chance to supervise and instruct junior colleagues as part of a friendly team, working in a fast-paced area of the law.
