Private Client Partner

This is a rare opportunity for an experienced Private Client Lawyer to step directly into a senior management position with a Top 200 UK firm, as their Head of Private Client (Cambridge). This practice are a true leader and are already established as one of the "go to" firms for Private Client matters.

The firm are now seeking an experienced individual to join the team as their Private Client Partner. This firm have consistently won Legal & Industry specific awards across their wide-ranging practice areas due to their commercially astute and technically strong staff - many of who are recognised in the Legal 500 & Chambers guides.

They are a leading regional firm with an existing client base ready to go for the right individual; whilst your own network of refers would be beneficial in line with the team expanding, it is by no means necessary for this particular role with an existing bank of work available.

You will have the full backing of an L500 & Top 200 UK firm, to further expand this highly regarded, professional team.

The Role

The firm are seeking to hire a Private Client Partner to join their expanding Cambridge Office.

You will be responsible for further building the firms Cambridge profile, establishing new relationships of referrers and cementing strong relationships that have already been secured by the firm.

In this Partner role, you will be liaising with other member of the Cambridge senior management team, and the Head of National Private Client - working on strategy, business development, recruitment and marketing.

You will also be responsible for managing your own varied caseload of matters, this will tend to be focused on the higher value and more complex aspects of Private Client Law.

Although this opportunity can be based around your specialist areas, you will be expected to have a broad knowledge across all areas Private Client including:

• Wills
• Tax
• Trusts
• Estates
• Probate
• Tax and Succession Planning

A broad knowledge will be needed to assist in training and queries from more junior members within the team. You will have full support from the established Private Client team, which houses some of the regions finest Associates & Solicitors, and Trainees eager to learn this area of law.

Requirements

• You will be a Private Client Lawyer or Partner with at least 8 years PQE +
• Experience of managing and mentoring more junior colleagues is advantageous
• You should have first-class communication, outstanding business development skills and an entrepreneurial flair
