Asset Management Lawyer for 10 month contract role in Leading Global Asset Manager

Our client, global leader in the asset management sector serving a vast institutional client base, is now looking for a lawyer for a 10 month contract role to start ASAP.

The role will work very closely with the International Distribution Legal team on supporting the firm’s global distribution activities for its fund ranges currently domiciled in numerous jurisdictions and marketed around the world. 

The role will involve reviewing, drafting and negotiating a variety of distribution related contractual documentation pertaining to marketing and financial promotion activities globally, as well as advising on regulatory matters relating to the distribution of funds.

As part of a global legal team, you must have the ability work closely and coordinate with the UK, Paris, Hong Kong and US-based lawyers that are also part of the International Distribution legal, and to comprehend multi-jurisdictional matters for a complexly structured organization is a key prerequisite for the position.  

What are we looking for?

• Admitted to practice law in a jurisdiction relevant to the role, with a minimum of 2 years’ experience in funds/asset management either from a law firm or in-house;
• Experience in drafting funds documentation such as distribution agreements, and/or investment management agreements;
• A keen awareness of current and upcoming regulation affecting the asset management sector.
