Corporate Tax Lawyer - US law firm

Our client is a mid-sized US law firm with office locations across the main jurisdictions of the US, Europe, the Middle East and Asia. The decision has been taken to increase English law capability in the London office across a number of strategic practice areas including 
Corporate Tax. 

The firm’s Tax Group provides advice on all tax aspects of U.S., European and other International transactions. They advise clients including multi-national Public and Private companies, Private Equity firms, Governmental and tax-exempt entities, Partnerships, Hedge Funds, Family Offices, High Net Worth individuals and Sovereign Wealth Funds. The client base is broad with sector representation to include Energy, Technology, Banking, Investment Management, Transportation, and Real Estate. 

As a result of increasing demand for UK corporate tax advice from numerous offices in other jurisdictions coupled with the growth of their London corporate team the decision has been taken to recruit the first UK corporate tax partner.

You will have gained corporate tax experience to include domestic and international tax advice supporting transactions such as Mergers & Acquisitions, Restructurings and Joint Ventures in the environment of an international law firm in London. 

The firm currently outsources it’s London office tax work to other firms, tax chambers and consultants. This is an excellent opportunity to be the first tax lawyer in the firm’s London office with excellent prospects for swift career progression.
