THE BUSINESS

Based in North Yorkshire (and offering significant work from home possibilities), the business has been established over 25 years, and is now the one of the largest in its sector. They are currently looking to hire a Senior Legal Counsel.

THE ROLE

As Senior Legal Counsel you would manage the day-to-day legal affairs, and working across all areas of the business on a range of issues and projects.

These might include: key commercial projects, property contracts, general advice on regulatory matters, organisational governance and compliance requirements and the avoidance and/or management of disputes and litigation. The role is also responsible for the management of a Paralegal and as such if you have interest in development and training of people, this may be of interest to you.

ABOUT YOU

You'll be a qualified solicitor with at least 4 years PQE, and possessing a commercial, corporate or energy background. You'll need excellent relationship building and communication skills, as you will operate across the business at all levels. The business has a strong positive culture, and you'll need to be a real team player, and of course you'll ned to be commercially focussed with the ability to look at both the bigger picture and the minutiae.
