Our client is a mid-sized International law firm which has evolved from a smaller/mid-sized firm into an international law firm with several strategic international offices. The international practice comprises  offices on the ground in some of the key MENA jurisdictions, Europe and Asia. In other jurisdictions it benefits from its independence by selecting strategic alliances with other firms in locations such as the US, Russia/CIS, Asia and the main common law jurisdictions.
For domestic work the firm is competitive pricing wise as it can farm work out to low cost regional centres and remain competitive with the trend of increasingly cost sensitive in-house counsel and instructing C-Executives. International work which is mid-market can also be competitively priced as unlike some of the larger firms where there is inflexibility for partners to discount rates where needed, this firm allows partners flexibility to do so when required.

One of the key areas of growth in the firm currently is its finance practice. Coupled with the departure of their current global head of finance a replacement is sought. They seek to build further on their existing practice which covers debt capital markets, corporate lending, asset finance and leasing, real estate financings, Islamic finance and acquisition finance.

Clients include domestic and international banks, debt funds, issuers and underwriters, private equity investors and corporate borrowers in relation to their structured financing requirements. They also act for numerous major clearing banks, building societies, finance houses, leasing and motor companies, factors and invoice discounters.

This would suit an entrepreneurial debt finance partner/team with track record of running a successful international practice across a wide range of debt finance work.
