Legal Counsel for Social Impact Investor

We’re currently hiring for a really exciting organisation at a key stage in their development. This is a rapidly growing fund manager which delivers finance to charities to address social needs such as poverty, unemployment and homelessness. With a new fund and more assets under management they are now looking to grow the team and centralised functions with the addition of a mid-level lawyer. You will support the investment and portfolio teams, as well as the other support functions. You will take much of the day to day legal workload from the General Counsel dealing with commercial agreements and loan documents (all requiring negotiation) as well as working side by side with him on the more complex legal matters.

This is not for someone chasing the money, but is for someone looking to push themselves out of their comfort zone. You’ll need to demonstrate your passion for the ESG/social impact space. You should have a strong private practice background but already have some in-house experience – probably in corporate/private equity but banking/finance and asset management backgrounds will also be considered.
