Court of Protection Solicitor

My client is a multi service law firm based in Manchester and they are looking to appoint a Court of Protection Solicitor or Fee Earner to join their highly succesful Court of Protection department based at their Head Office in the City Centre

You will be working with the Department Head handling a caseload of Brain/Birth injuries

The work will include drafting applications to the Court of Protection, assisting with the purchase and adaption of properties, bank account and budgeting reviews, meetings with clients, liaising with the Court and the Office of the Public Guardian, preparation of annual reports, billing and file management.

Requirements;

Full understanding of the firm's Money Laundering Guidelines
Full understanding of the firm's client case and quality standards
Full understanding of the Solicitors Accounts Rules
The ability to demonstrate a good knowledge of legal principles in relation to Court of Protection work.
The ability to carry out work to a good standard in relation to PI Trusts and statutory Wills
Skills and experience in relation to law and procedure as it affects Court of Protection work, and Personal Injury Trust Work.
An ability to make applications and complete accounts and documentation required by the Court and the Office of the Public Guardian
