German speaking Lawyer - Global Investment Firm

Out client, a global investment firm, is looking for an experienced German speaking solicitor to join their London based legal team, with the potential to relocate to Munich. This position will be responsible for a broad range of legal matters primarily in respect to the firm’s Munich office.

Responsibilities

• Provide legal support on the firm's business, including investment, research, operations and corporate governance in respect to the Munich office, to support the firm’s European strategy
• Provide legal support as required on the wider firm's business, in order to support the global strategy
• Work with internal investment, operations, compliance, and risk teams on developing and refining process and strategy
• Draft and negotiate agreements, including investment management, advisory and non-disclosure primarily for clients of the Munich office to support the firm’s European strategy. 
• Oversee the process of meeting and maintaining German corporate operating regulations with assistance from a paralegal and external legal and compliance support

Skills and Qualifications

• England & Wales qualified lawyer with at least 4 years PQE 
• Experience in one or more of the following areas is preferred: 
  • financial services, corporate, M&A, litigation and general business
  • alternative investment fund formation; or
  • representing institutional clients and/or managers in primary, secondary, and direct transactions 
• Fluent German speaker with legal/business German mandatory
