Our client has an established presence in the growing Exchange Traded Fund/Exchange Traded Product (ETF / ETP) market. With an entrepreneurial and forward-thinking mindset, this organisation’s continued success has resulted from harnessing the potential in AI, cryptocurrencies and cloud-based investments alongside more traditional strategies.

An opportunity has now arisen for a lawyer to assume a broad role focusing on transactional and advisory matters arising from the development of new products and maintenance of the current investment portfolio.

More specifically, you will:

  • Execute the smooth delivery/launches of products across asset classes including commodities, FX and digital assets;
  • Help draft and prepare new product proposals for review by governance committees and key stakeholders;
  • Negotiate key product documentation, including prospectuses, trust and security arrangements;
  • Liaise with UK and foreign regulators on product issues and inform the business on upcoming regulatory developments to help shape future strategy.

We are looking for lawyers in private practice derivatives/capital markets teams, or those who have already moved in-house to a relevant financial services institution. Either way, you must have a ‘can do’ attitude, inquisitive nature and be able to ‘think outside the box’ to succeed in this dynamic business.

More specifically, you will:

  • Be a UK or Commonwealth-qualified with at least 4 yrs. PQE and have strong academics;
  • Have some degree of derivatives/structured products experience;
  • Demonstrate a genuine desire to move into the asset management arena.

Some experience in the following is a bonus, but not a pre-requisite:

  • ETPs or Exchange Traded Commodities/Currencies (ETCs).
  • UCITS funds (either UK, Ireland or Luxembourg domiciled).

The successful candidate will form part of a respected, collaborative and supportive legal team and receive a competitive base salary and bonus/benefits package.
