A junior insolvency solicitor is offered a rare and exciting opportunity to join a Legal 500 ranked insolvency team at this top 50 national practice in Birmingham.

The insolvency team in Birmingham forms part of a national practice working alongside their colleagues in insolvency, corporate and litigation across the firm’s 10+ UK offices.

The junior insolvency solicitor joining this highly renowned practice will undertake broad, complex and challenging work for clients across a range of sectors including hospitality and leisure, transport and logistics, energy (renewable and fossil), agriculture, the public sector, retail, corporates, and financial services.

Working alongside partners and senior associates considered to be experts in the field, the successful insolvency solicitor joining this team will have a workload of contentious and non-contentious matters consisting of:
 

• Advising on directors duties and obligations
• Advising on acquisitions of businesses and assets
• Disposal of assets
• Advising financial institutions on lending and investments
• Restructuring
• Enforcement and debt recovery matters
• Supply chain issues
• Contractual disputes
• Advisory assignments for lenders and borrowers

This position is ideally suited to junior insolvency solicitors between NQ and three years’ PQE. Candidates applying for this position should be able to display:
 

• A strong academic background
• Strong technical knowledge and commercial acumen
• Excellent communication skills
