New Instruction -US (NY) qualified DCM/Finance Associate

Anglo Saxon law firm seeks to hire a US qualified associate into its growing US finance group in London. The team is small but growing as increased deal flow in areas such as high yield, bond issues, leveraged and acquisition finance has created capacity for the team to expand. Acting for lenders and borrowers they have a broad based practice advising clients on a wide range of debt deals. 

Working across the bank lending and private placement markets they handle secured and unsecured debt products with international expertise in handling transactions across a wide range of jurisdictions including most of Europe, Australasia, sub-Sahara Africa, Russia and Canada. 

The ideal candidate will be New York qualified with a few years’ experience of debt finance such as acquisition finance, leveraged finance or straight debt capital markets. Your experience will include having acted for lenders and will have been gained in an established firm. You will possess strong technical legal skills including drafting, negotiating and managing projects. You will be encouraged to get involved with business development initiatives with the London team and also teams from other jurisdictions. You will have exposure to a broad range of work including the US aspects of corporate and acquisition finance, UCC Article 9 issues, US placements, high yield bonds, fund financings and term B loans. You will also assist in managing some of the very junior team members.
