New - our client are a leading Legal 500 firm with a top-tier Real Estate Practice who are recognised for their "...exceptional technical knowledge" within the legal directories. Due to growth, an exciting opportunity has arisen for an ambitious Real Estate Associate to join their Oxfordshire office. The ideal individual will have trained with an established regional, city or national firm and have gained a solid overview across a broad range of real estate transactions. 

This national Real Estate team represents an impressive range of clients from developers, investors and corporate occupiers through to banks and funders.  The team is an established and mature practice with an unrivalled client base comparable to major City firms, and a stand-out, Tier-1 ranked practice within the region.

We are currently recruiting for a Real Estate Associate (2 PQE+) and the role will include a wide range of Real Estate transactional work including Landlord and Tenant matters, investment and disposal transactions, including portfolio transactions. The candidate will be part of a Real Estate group which covers a very wide range of industry sectors.

The Real Estate practice forms part of a wider Construction, Real Estate & Disputes group.  This involves a significant amount of cross-office, cross departmental work and internal referrals. The role will suit someone who has excellent people skills who is looking to develop their career within a friendly collegiate team that is widely recognised for its expertise in this area. 

The ideal candidate will be a good quality real estate lawyer with experience and interest in handling work for a mixture of clients (property funds, trusts, high net worth individuals, partnerships, charities, banks and companies) with the ability to develop effective working relations at all levels.

Requirements:

  • Min 2:1 or equivalent/ A/B grades A ‘levels
  • Consistently good academic record
  • IT literate – working knowledge of Word/Outlook/TFB or equivalent
  • Experience of general commercial property work – e.g. sales and purchases of investment properties including freeholds and leaseholds, grant and taking of leases, general Landlord and Tenant management work, some corporate support work etc. Experience of property development work essential. This will be for a wide range of clients including small and medium sized businesses, large corporates and PLCs, charities, and public-sector bodies including NHS organisations.
  • Strong drafting and analytical skills with attention to detail
  • Capable of producing written advice for clients which is concise and to the point
  • Competent grammar skills
  • Capable of giving practical, commercial advice
  • User friendly, with excellent communication skills
  • Good organisational skills

The team frequently advise on complex commercial property matters including:

- Portfolio Management

- Real Estate Finance

- Landlord & Tenant

- Development Projects

- Investment Opportunities
