Senior Legal Counsel

FTSE 100 company and local success story requires a Senior Legal Counsel to join the in house legal team in Newcastle. This is a contract role to cover a period of maternity leave and will run for a duration of 12 months. Whlst your office base will be Newcastle, the business will consider someone working largely remotely as long as you are comfortable with some travel to the North East.

Working within the Corporate Legal team, you will provide structured and commercially sound advice to stakeholders at all levels. You will have the opportunity to get involved on a range of strategic projects and assist colleagues across a broad spectrum of legal matters including in relation to compliance, finance and general corporate/commercial matters.

Required is a qualified Solicitor with c. 4 years PQE + (although this is merely a guide and those with demonstrable corporate, commercial and/or compliance legal experience are encouraged to apply) who is keen to join a dynamic and agile business.
