In-house Commercial Property Counsel

Well established and highly successful property development business is seeking to expand its legal department by recruit a pragmatic and commercially minded In-house property generalist, to help assist them with the next phase of their growth. The business is privately owned with a development pipeline value in excess of £5billion.

The new appointment is prompted by a growing pipeline of exciting new schemes primarily in the residential and commercial sectors and the successful candidate will report into the Head of Legal providing ongoing support across a diverse range of legal queries which could cover anything from; investigating titles, heads of terms, non-disclosure/exclusivity agreements to advising on insurance documentation, portfolio management and some funding related matters and various property acquisition and disposal work.

The ideal candidate is likely to have at least a couple of years PQE and a good grounding in development, although this is not a pure development role. More importantly, you'll be commercially aware, have an approachable and positive and confident attitude.

The right candidate will have high levels of responsibility and you'll thrive in the day to day interaction with senior stakeholders and management, in a fast paced, exciting and challenging environment.

The role is largely office based in the Leeds area and will also require site visits as required. The role comes with a highly attractive package which includes competitive salary, car allowance, bonus scheme and family medical insurance.
