The Role

The firm are looking for a Contentious Probate Senior Associate to join their growing department in Altrincham.

The role will include acting for claimants and defendants on IPFDA claims and validity challenges, drafting proceedings, drafting witness statements, undertaking disclosure and instructing counsel.

You will work with a close-knit team that house heavy hitting lawyers. The department have a strong reputation and is long recognised in the Legal 500 with top tier status. The team are true specialists and all of the solicitors are either full members of ACTAPS or working towards this.

You will mentor and oversee the work of junior Lawyers and help them to progress in their careers. This role comes with strong prospects to progress, in line with the growth agenda.

Requirements

• You will be a Solicitor with at least 5 years' experience
• If coming from a general litigation background, at least 50% of your caseload should be weighted towards Contentious Probate/Probate Litigation
• Some knowledge within general private client matters would be beneficial here
• Excellent communication skills
• You will be a team player with excellent attention to detail.
