Who are we?

The University of Law is one of the UK's leading providers of legal education and training, working right at the heart of the legal profession and with an impressive history going back to 1876. We bring together teaching of the highest quality, a focus on practical skills and innovative learning styles to deliver perfect preparation for life in legal practice and ongoing professional development.

The University is in an ongoing, exciting period of growth, expansion and diversification and we currently have a vacancy for a Law Tutor within our expanding Moorgate teaching Team.

Our Moorgate campus is the largest specialist corporate law school in the UK, which is located in the City of London close to leading global law firms.

What are we looking for?

We are looking to recruit a law tutor who is a qualified solicitor or barrister with a genuine passion for quality and excellence. You will also be able to demonstrate successful legal practice experience and inspire the next generation of our profession.

You will enjoy being challenged by students and course content in equal measure, and be able to adapt to the different learning styles of students and methods of course delivery. You will be eager to share your expertise and become involved in all aspects of enhancing the student experience within our Moorgate campus, primarily teaching on our LPC and GDL programmes. We also run Masters Programmes in corporate law and legal technology..

Package

We offer an excellent range of competitive benefits, to include:- 35 days annual leave / Private Medical Scheme / Contributory Pension / Life Assurance / Season Ticket Loans / Cycle to Work Scheme / Eye Care Assistance / Employee Assistance Programme.

Full training will be given and, as part of the tutor development programme, we will also support you in studying for a recognised teaching qualification.

If you would like to arrange an informal discussion prior to application, please contact Mary Medyckyj at mary.medyckyj@law.ac.uk.

No agencies please.

Some posts within the University are subject to a DBS check - you will be notified of this during the application process.

As an equal opportunities employer, we welcome applications from all suitably qualified persons. However, as Black, Asian and Minority Ethnic (BAME) individuals are currently under-represented within the University - which does not reflect our diverse student body - we would particularly welcome applications from BAME candidates. All appointments will be made on merit.

Company

The University of Law as the UK’s largest law school has trained more lawyers than anyone else.
