TV PRODUCTION LAWYER

HYPER GROWTH MEDIA CO

SCRIPTED OR NON-SCRIPTED EXPERIENCE

Our client is a fast growing media business. An exciting opportunity has arisen for a TV production lawyer to join the team at this pivotal time.

You will manage all legal production work for the business worldwide, excluding North America and report directly to the General Counsel.

The ideal candidate will be a TV production lawyer. You could have a background in scripted, non-scripted or animation content.You will:

●Have at least 4-5 years' experience working in house or in private practice.

●Be able to demonstrate strong experience advising on production and media law.

●Be the main production lawyer across all branded and production content globally.

●Handle day to day production legal work.

●Supervise outside production counsels, as appropriate.

●Draft and negotiate all types of production agreements such as talent releases, Production agreements, Co-production agreement, music and footage licenses, equipment rentals, vendor agreements, service agreements, location agreements, set design agreements, agreements with directors, producers, writers, animators, composers etc.

●Be comfortable interfacing directly with business partners and counterparties.

●Provide advice in connection with legal issues, rights and obligations, deal structure, guild/union agreements, intellectual property matters, fair use, claims, clearances, music rights and other matters arising out of the day to day operations of a production company.

●Support general marketing/publicity legal matters such as drafting and negotiating marketing agreements, competition TCS, advising on talent and other rights approvals, creative clearances, as well as the production of original promotional content.
