An exciting and rare opportunity for a Commercial Litigation Partner to join a heavy hitting, commercially minded practice based in Maidstone, Kent.

The Firm

The firm has experienced significant growth over the last 24 months and has experienced a 50+% increase in revenue since 2018. They also now stand at over 500 fee earners with 8 offices across the South West and the Midlands. With consistent growth since 2013, now is the time to join this heavy-hitting, commercially minded giant of a law firm.

The firm is a full-service law firm but has particular expertise across Real Estate, Dispute Resolution, Corporate and Private Client work.

They have a brilliant culture which sees the client's services by entire teams of Lawyers and Partners rather than individuals, and they believe that collaboration releases untapped potential in their people. They also have a good structure in which they separate the senior management team from the fee earners so that Solicitors can focus on technical law rather than finance and management.

About the Role

The firm is seeking to hire a new Commercial Litigation Partner to join an ever-growing Dispute Resolution team which makes up a large chunk of the business. You will work on a diverse number of sectors for the firm's existing client base including;

  • HNW Shareholder disputes
  • Breach of contracts
  • Insolvency
  • Professional negligence
  • Legislation claims

The Litigation department deals with an exceptional quality of work. The department has a leading reputation nationally for the quality of work with many Partners being ranked as "Leaders in their field". The department works across a broad range of industry sectors giving any new lateral addition a clear and smooth pathway to any client-base transition.


You will be at the forefront of a growing department alongside the other Partners. This would be an ideal step up for a candidate in a top-heavy department seeking a route to Partnership, or an existing partner who wishes to join a bench of heavy hitting 'rainmakers' in the litigation space.

You will work within a well-respected department, alongside a highly experienced team.

Requirements:

  • You will be a Commercial Litigation Partner with at least 8+ years PQE (there is no upper limit regarding the amount of experience)
  • Experience of managing a team is to advantage, but not essential
  • Excellent client care skills are essential
