Due to growth, we have a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Court of Protection Solicitor to join our clients' Private Client team based in Cambridge.

We are working in unusual circumstances and we appreciate that this is an unsettling time for all employees and employers, we have always believed in absolute transparency and as such we want to be clear about the status of vacancies. Some of the roles we have been working on have only very recently been placed on hold, whereas some are still live and the client has confirmed that we are to continue with our search. We will therefore indicate the status of each role clearly so that applicants are clear on the position.

This role is LIVE as recently confirmed by our client, interviews will be conducted via video calls.

The Private Client and Medical Negligence team work closely and collaboratively on a range of matters to ensure the best support and service for clients. Due to their ever-increasing success, they are looking for an senior solicitor to continue and develop this comprehensive service establishing and managing Court of Protection Deputyships.

This role would be best suited to a solicitor of at least 8 years’ PQE with experience of preparing all types of applications to the Court of Protection. A strong working knowledge of COP best practice and experience in managing Deputyships for medical negligence and personal injury cases will be required, in addition to experience with Personal Injury Trusts and Statutory Wills. Experience of being appointed as a professional Deputy for Property and Finances is not essential but will be advantageous as the position will necessitate the candidate being appointed on new matters.

This is an excellent opportunity to join an expanding Private Client team, where you will build strong relationships across the business, particularly with Medical Negligence lawyers, working closely with them to develop this position.

This role would have the prospect to lead and grow a newly evolving team, and as such, you should have a passion and drive for business development and leadership.
