Senior In-house Counsel

City centre financial services heavyweight with established and integral legal team, requires an additional lawyer to help and provide support to the Head of Legal and Senior Solicitor Manager whilst providing legal advice and support to all areas of the group and monitoring and managing the legal risks.

This role would suit a qualified solicitor who has some exposure of retail financial services in addition to experience of pro-active business partnering with senior stakeholders and the ability to effectively influence and communicate at all levels.

You're likely to have a track record of being able to build strong relationships with key stakeholders across the different areas of business, in addition to customer centric approach to maintaining up-to-date, compliant, enforceable documentation and marketing literature. You'll also have a good knowledge of GDPR and DPA 2018 and when required, provide data protection support and advice, supporting the Data Protection Office by monitoring compliance with GDPR and the group's data protection policies, standards and guidelines.

This is a hands-on role but a position of responsibility where you will be expected to lead by example, demonstrating best practice and a positive approach. It's a friendly team-environment offering good quality work for a commercially minded lawyer with some exposure in financial services.
