Industry-leading Partner at Top 100 firm is seeking a number 2, to help drive the department forward - this Partner has had lawyers come onto his team and make Partnership themselves in a short space of time - he allows his team of solicitors to follow their specialisms and interests, meaning that you can carve your own path to success in this role while being supported and developed by a heavyweight Partner who is also incredibly personable - all of this means it's going to be an amazing opportunity for the right Commercial Solicitor.

The Role

The firm is seeking to hire a Commercial Associate with 2+ PQE to join their office in Bristol, Somerset.

The successful Commercial Solicitor will join a National, first-class Commercial Law team.

The team has won awards for the reputation they have in this area of law - the team is at the cutting edge of shaping options to develop and grow local authorities public services.

You will be advising Local Government on their procurement of major infrastructure projects services Nationally. You will work on some of the most significant and ground-breaking projects in the country.

(While the role will involve this - as well as private company work - you can forge your own path, and if you prefer working in specific areas and want to further your experience in that area, you will be empowered to do just that.

The role will involve a mix of commercial work for the private and public sectors, including but not limited to:

  • Infrastructure projects
  • new forms of partnerships, new structures and contracts to deliver services.
  • Variations and contract management including PFI and PPP schemes as well as outsourcing projects
  • shared services, in-sourcing, joint venture, outsourcing, new corporate arrangements
