Our client is a new and exciting TV production and investment company which is creating innovative cutting edge and premium content. It also supports exceptional talent by investing in companies and individuals to create and maximise their own content and potential.

A wonderful opportunity has arisen for a scripted TV lawyer to join the company at such a pivotal time. They have a number of projects in advanced development and are working with a range of highly talented and world class producers and directors.

As Head of Legal Business Affairs, you will deliver a first class legal business affairs service, which will include: *Supporting busy development teams: including negotiating and contracting book options, writers agreements and broadcaster development agreements.

*Advising on applicable aspects of guild/talent union contracts and where relevant drafting such deals

*Drafting and negotiating across the programming slate broadcaster and co-production negotiations, and distribution and exploitation arrangements as necessary

*Working closely with production teams on all LBA matters that arise, including support with templates and contracting for talent contracts, crew contracts, location agreements, and other third party rights agreements

*Supporting the investment business in all its LBA activity.

You will have significant experience gained within a fast paced media/production company or media law firm. Excellent knowledge of TV development, production and distribution in the area of scripted TV content is essential. Candidates with exposure to the financing and funding aspects of this process will be welcome. You will be commercial, dynamic, technically excellent and approachable.
