- Our client has assembled a market leading senior restructuring & insolvency team across its Hong Kong and Singapore offices. With opportunities arising from turbulent macroeconomic environment and new legal frameworks in Asia, they are keen to be ahead of the curve and make a number of strategic hires at the Associate & Managing Associate levels.
- Acting across the whole spectrum of R&I matters in Asia the successful applicants will see themselves engaged on a variety of challenging and stimulating work to include debt restructuring and rescheduling, equity capital raising, distressed M&A, formal insolvency proceedings, distressed debt investments & trading and debtor advisory work.
- Candidates will ideally hail from top tier international law firms and be admitted to practice in HK, Singapore, England & Wales, US, Australia or New Zealand. Chinese / regional language ability would be beneficial but is not absolutely essential, as is additional banking expertise.
- To be considered you will absolutely require solid experience of restructuring transactions and be both versatile & adaptable in your approach, turning your hand quickly to new legal products and a large range of R&I processes across multiple legal jurisdictions. Possessing excellent drafting skills, you will also be capable of progressing matters independently, while actively supervising junior lawyers and other team members where required.
- Further, with strong interpersonal and communication skills you will be looking to take on more responsibility, working closely with senior colleagues and clients in what are often intense and time sensitive situations.
