Job Details


A global manufacturing business is looking for a commercial lawyer for a 6 month interim contract. The role would suit a senior lawyer with experience of high value and complex commercial contracts, international trade, and ideally compliance and sanctions.

Reporting into and supporting the Global General Counsel, you will manage day-to-day legal activity across a number of jurisdictions, whilst also liaising with external counsel and internal stakeholders.

You will have responsibility for;

- Advising the business on complex and high value commercial contracts - bids and tenders, reviews, supplier contracts, etc.
- Advising the business on compliance, due diligence, anti-corruption, and sanctions
- Supporting the General Counsel on matters related to new JVs
- Supporting the business on ad-hoc legal matters, including HR

It would be advantageous to have experience in either the oil & gas or manufacturing industry, although not essential.

The contract will run for 6 months and you will be working from home during this time, so location is entirely flexible (although there may be UK site visits, as and when COVID restrictions ease).
