In House Legal Counsel – Midlands

We are seeking a legal counsel on behalf of our client, to be based in the Midlands. The Legal Counsel will report to the EMEA General Counsel and shall manage commercial contracts at the EMEA Division level. The role is newly created and the individual will provide support to various functional areas and product teams office.

Key responsibilities include:

•            take a proactive and hands-on approach to all legal tasks that may be assigned to them and to develop an expertise across a broad range of subject areas.

•            providing accurate, timely and pragmatic advice to senior managers and other members of the team on a variety of legal topics that relate to the business sector and their products or services, providing confidence in subject matters and commercial risks

•            research and evaluate different risk factors regarding business decisions and operations and deal with complex matters with multiple stakeholders

The successful candidate will have substantial previous post-qualification experience gained from a reputable law firm and/or recognised in-house environment. You will have advanced written and oral communication skills, including the ability to influence outcomes. Experience of negotiating and drafting commercial, supplier and customer agreements and previous experience in working within a technology/manufacturing business with digital content/web environments is desirable.
