We are looking for a talented and ambitious Debt Capital Markets Legal Associate to join our growing team. Origin is a leader in the growing capital markets technology space, now supporting over 100 major investment banks and bond issuers across our products. You will support our team of technologists and former investment bankers on all capital markets legal matters including:

  • Helping design and develop our Documentation legal technology product
  • Managing our issuance documentation database
  • Working closely with DCM and issuer legal teams to ensure their documentation requirements are met
  • Conducting legal research, staying abreast of capital markets regulation
  • Support the sales team on commercial contractual negotiations

You will sit at the intersection of our Product, Business Development, and Senior Leadership teams, and will be trusted to be the expert on all legal matters. You will own the documentation tool from a legal content perspective and will be responsible for defining requirements with the technology team to ensure they fulfil client needs when delivered. This is a fantastic opportunity for an ambitious individual looking to join a fast-growing business at the ground level.


For this role, it is essential that you have a proven track record within the capital markets legal industry and an excellent graduate background in law is required.

What you bring to the table:

  • Deep experience in fixed income securities issuance with a particular familiarity of MTN programs
  • Strong experience representing issuers and dealers in the capital raising process
  • Minimum Bachelor’s degree
  • An understanding of and interest in technology and fintech
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong attention to detail and unflinching work ethic
