Job Details

We have a unique opportunity for an Employment Solicitor to work completely from home and handle a range of respondent matters on behalf of top, household-name clients. Given the remote nature of this legal role, applicants can be based anywhere in the country.

The work can be challenging and complex as the business largely acts for sophisticated clients, however as 60% of legal work is on a retainer basis the client billing aspect of this role is really reduced. This role offers good work/life balance as the hours are quite prescriptive, however significant focus is needed during work hours so you need to be in a position to commit fully during those core hours.

Our client is a successful ABS with a growing legal team. The team is led by forward-thinking, dynamic individuals who have already secured numerous notable and exciting clients. The lawyers have a fresh and innovative attitude that runs throughout their work and are well-known and well-respected for their proactive approach.

Joining a close-knit employment team you will be responsible for providing first-rate advice on a full-range of respondent employment matters. You will be presented with your own portfolio of clients suited to you and your style of work, creating the opportunity to build long term, ongoing relationships. Client service and satisfaction should be at the heart of your motivations and you should also show a real passion for providing the best advice on employment matters. You will be working from home, however there are occasional team meetings and training days in London and Leeds, as well as visits to clients and training for them. This is an excellent opportunity for someone seeking challenging work but with regular hours, as they operate 9am - 5.30pm; allowing you to have a brilliant work/life balance.

The successful Homeworking Employment Solicitor is likely to have at least 5 years' PQE (although potentially significantly more) and needs to be capable of handling a respondent employment caseload with next to no supervision. Due to the nature of the role, you must be hardworking and disciplined; striving for the best results. You should show flare and interest in your field and should hold client care at the core of your legal work.

This is a unique role which offers an alternative way of working as it does not require you to meet stressful billing targets. The role is paid on a salary basis and there is also the opportunity to receive bonuses for any work you actively bring in, although it must be stressed that there is no pressure to bring work in if you don't enjoy this.

How to Apply:
