With over 20 partners nationally and across Europe focussed on banking, finance and restructuring it is easy to see why there is such strength and depth in the practice area.

Manchester represents a newer investment for the firm but already has a key established banking partner in place and carries excellent market reputation.

In the modern world (and was already something in effect prior to the events of 2020) geography provides no limits and so teams in Manchester have not only been afforded exposure to high quality local market work but have played key roles in working on transactions normally the preserve of the London market.

This role would be providing support to the Manchester Banking Partner as well as affording scope to be actively involved in London work.

Its uniqueness stems from the banking team being in the early stages of investment and growth so for anyone fearing their career progression is blocked at their current firm, that would not be the case here. In addition, it would afford great scope for autonomy and taking on levels of responsibility (if so desired) that might not be on offer elsewhere.

The banking team are seeking a finance generalist - so, the ability to work on projects for Lenders and Borrowers alike - that could be on corporate, real estate or asset finance work but must pertain to actually transactional banking work (not litigation).

The team are open to looking at those from 1 year + PQE up to around 5 years PQE but we are interested to speak to anyone with direct transactional finance work and can advise on suitability. 

The team is plugged into the local market and it is anticipated that once restrictions lift the right individual will also champion those relationships so whilst remote working is underway at present this would be a role that in the longer term would be Manchester based.
