Job Details
After a recent merger, this sizeable business is going from strength to strength and they are looking to add to their legal function in the form of a new Senior Legal Counsel. This role will be based just outside of London (North West) and will support the global business.
Some key benefits of this position that differentiates itself from the competition:
- A true "generalist" position (advising the business on all legal areas as well as acting as a business partner to the senior management team).
- Global in scope (the business already operates globally in a significant number of jurisdictions and you will directly support all of their markets).
- Proximity to the business (this role will work very closely with the management team, based in Germany and the US, and you will be the go to lawyer for many legal and strategic business issues).
Reporting into the Assistant General Counsel this role will be highly autonomous and contain a broad mix of commercial, IP, Privacy, Corporate, Employment, Regulatory (etc.) work.
A prior life sciences/biotechnology background is not required (all sectors considered, those coming with strong technology focus are highly desirable) and for guidance purposes only candidates are likely to have around 7/8+ years of post qualified experience (with a competitive salary, bonus, car allowance and benefits to match this level).
Fluency in German is highly advantageous due to interactions with the management team but is certainly not a pre-requisite. (Possible German location also exists for this position if the candidate desires).
