We know from experience that so many redundancies as a result of the Covid pandemic will inevitably lead to a big spike in tribunal claims, not just over redundancy pay and failure to consult, but for unfair dismissal, discrimination and other causes of complaint.
The increased flow of instructions to this thriving Employment team is such as to demand the appointment of a further assistant solicitor.
The successful candidate will be advising both employers and employees on all aspects of employment law and human resources, and occasionally on business immigration. More specifically:
- Managing employment tribunal and county court litigation;
- Advising on Settlement Agreements;
- Drafting employment contracts, handbooks and policies;
- Dealing with TUPE and transactional support work.
You will be encouraged to take an active role in business development initiatives designed to attract new clients. These will include participating in presentations internally and externally and active attendance of networking events/relevant industry bodies.
