Errington Legal are seeking an experienced candidate to work within our clients highly regarded IP/IT team based in Cambridge. The principal responsibility will be to support the partners and senior lawyers in providing first rate client service on a range of IP and IT matters for key clients of this technology and life sciences firm.
We are working in unusual circumstances and we appreciate that this is an unsettling time for all employees and employers, we have always believed in absolute transparency and as such we want to be clear about the status of vacancies. Some of the roles we have been working on have only very recently been placed on hold, whereas some are still live and the client has confirmed that we are to continue with our search. We will therefore indicate the status of each role clearly so that applicants are clear on the position.
This role is LIVE as recently confirmed by our client, interviews will be conducted via video calls.
The role:
This role will offer a wide range of complex and dynamic legal work for a range of clients from start-ups to major global brands. Your caseload will be varied and you will have the opportunity to specialise as your career progresses.
Skills and experience:
You will have worked for a recognised City/regional practice with good general experience of commercial and IP/IT work and are likely to have a minimum of 2 years PQE, ideally within the technology and life sciences sector.
You will have had exposure to household name clients and will be comfortable handling a wide ranging caseload and in managing multi-jurisdictional advice. You will be expected to manage your own matters working closely with senior lawyers and you will have regular client contact and appropriate responsibility.
Key competencies:
You must be able to operate at a fast pace in a vibrant environment. You will be academically strong with experience of working on complex matters. You will use your strong communication skills to build effective relationships with existing and new clients and with other teams within the firm. Good drafting skills are also required.
“Without Errington Legal’s knowledge of the legal market and strong relationships with local firms, I would not have been able to secure the role that I did”. Solicitor, Cambridge
