The Opportunity

The organisation now need to hire a Senior Legal Counsel. The role will lead on key contracts relating to technology transfer agreements and IP licensing as well as company start ups and spin outs. Responsibilities will include managing the strategy of the organisation and honouring investment commitments. The investment strategy will need IP and general commercial contracts support as well as corporate/spin out advice where companies are created using seed funding. 

You will also have three direct reports and as a team, you will support the organisation on a wide range of matters specifically focusing on the research, development and commercialisation of new and ongoing research. The work will be varied and will involve drafting and reviewing licensing agreements and other agreements relating to research and drug development. You will also provide support on company secretarial and governance matters.

About You

The ideal candidate will have life science knowledge of how to commercialise IP, licensing of assets and some patents experience within a life sciences context. A science background would be welcome.
